You can consult with us for all cases regarding personal injury claims, including damages caused by the death of a family member as a result of which the dependents may suffer. The most important categories are occupational accidents, traffic accidents, medical errors, product liability and criminal offences. In particular, we often assist victims in cases of bodily injury claims. When medical errors are made, we also assist our clients in the medical disciplinary tribunal, if necessary. In the case of bodily injury as a result of a criminal offence, accompanying the victim in the criminal procedure against the suspect is part of our services.
The medical component plays an important role in cases of bodily injury claims. We therefore cooperate with medical advisors on a permanent basis. They provide advice about the medical aspects of a case, for instance about the causal relationship between the injury and the incidents that caused them. They also advise whether or not a medical error was made, and call in medical experts to establish the seriousness and the nature of the injury.

Way of working

The first orientation interview in our office is always free of charge. You can make an appointment by telephone. Moreover, we have walk-in consulting hours for bodily injury claims every first Monday of the month between 17.00 and 19.00 p.m. You do not need to make an appointment for these and there are no costs involved.
We will look into the matter with you and we will discuss the chances of recovering damages. In the majority of cases it is possible to reach an agreement regarding the amount of the damages. We do not hesitate to litigate if a settlement takes too long or if the other party refuses to admit liability. We work hard to ensure cases do not take an unnecessarily long time.

Clients

In the majority of the cases we represent the victims. We do business both on the basis of subsidised legal aid (see for information: www.rvr.org) and on a paid basis. After liability has been established, the costs of the lawyer, the medical advisor and possibly other advisors will, in principle, be charged to the liable party; as a rule, this is the insurance company. In that case, our assistance is free of charge.

Lawyers

Our bodily injury practice group consists of four lawyers and is one of the largest practice groups in this legal area in the region of The Hague. All lawyers in this practice group are active members of various specialist associations and three of the four are members of the Association of Bodily Injury Lawyers. On the basis of this, we comply with the highest quality of standards. We are experts in our legal area and constantly update our knowledge by taking courses and attending and organising conferences and other meetings. There are regular consultations within our practice group.
